An exciting new place in West Knoxville has opened and they have one goal in mind, making Math for Kids fun again! With 50 plus years of teaching experience and ranking in the top 10% of math teachers in the state, Dee Morgan and Amy Finch know how to teach children math and make it enjoyable for kids of all ages to learn. After years of working with kids in the public schools, they found there was a huge need, so these two amazing women opened Calculating Minds Math Achievement Center to help students in our community develop necessary mathematical skills by making math purposeful, interesting, and relevant.

Their mission is to create more confident and capable tomorrow’s children by fostering a three-step learning approach — concrete, pictorial, and abstract. They use Singapore Math materials and methods to both enrich and remediate math concepts which will benefit every student and focus on helping students become confident, life-long mathematicians. They believe everyone can be a “math person” and invite you to stop on by and see what it is all about! Calculating Minds Math Achievement Center is located at 11115 Kingston Pike, Farragut, TN 37934. You can also visit them online at CalculatingMinds.com and check out their upcoming classes and Events or give them a call at 865-386-9295. We are excited to have them here in Knoxville and love what they are doing to enrich the lives of our children in East Tennessee!
